from 109 reviewsMy fridge was a disaster along with the rest of my kitchen. We found stuff that had expired over 5 years ago. Never again. The Tribalist helped with a system that limited over purchasing and helped me focus on keep the staples organized while maintain room for new stuff I wanted to try out, left overs, take out, and more fresh produce.

...it might as well be a nice space. I didn't realize how awful my home office actually was. Frankly, it wasn't my fault. I just bought what I thought I was supposed to buy. In the end I was just swimming in disorganized junk that was hard to keep track of. I was also guilty of some mild hoarding when it came to plugs, cables, and adapters. Getting rid of so much of the stuff that I was hanging on to "just in case" freed me up to upgrade my work environment to something I actually enjoyed spending time in.

I really didn't like the way our bathroom was so cluttered. The counter was always a disaster. What I didn't realize was that a big part of the issue was just the stuff itself. It all just sort of looked bad along with not being that great for us. What I noticed with the transformation was that I was simply opting for more timeless and substantial options for my bathroom. For example, everything under the sink went into large clear heritage jars or smaller montana jars that made everything very easy to visualize and find. We also upgraded to double edge safety razor, better brushes, better tootpaste, better soaps, and better shampoos, etc. Now, I can tell the difference when I am confronted with something with a lot of chemicals. My bathroom feels more like a room that's part of a spa versus a room that's just full of plastic clutter.

We started by reviewing goals, and our goals were to make the kitchen a center for health. Like they say, "abs start in the kitchen." We didn't realize the extent to which our kitchen just wasn't serving us. We started with the notion of organization, but quickly moved to understanding how the kitchen could specifically work for us. What I learned was our current galley kitchen layout was find/workable, but that we had caved into a lot of modern short cuts that were not really serving us. So, we moved our pantry to all glass storage so we had visual inventory and could see what we had and what we were running out of. Because we used a lot of sealable jars we could also keep food fresh longer. This longevity through air tight seals was important because we weren't buying foods with lots of preservatives and shelf stable chemicals in them as much. So, we started getting more faw ingredients. The Tribalist actually created guides for some of our hired help (like our nanny) to help make some of the basics like prepped produce, freshly ground coffee, butter, yogurt, flour, and even bread that was made at home. Thie meant some additional tools, but I really didn't fully realize how our stand mixer with a cabinet lift could help us accomplish so much. Now, on to the rest of the house.

I cannot tell you how much of an upgrade my office has gone through. All the cheap plastic crap everywhere is gone. Just making a bunch of simple upgrades makes my office feel much more real and substantial. It's hard to describe, I just don't feel like I am surrounding by horrible little things that take away my peace.

My Tribalsit consultant introduced me to brands and options that last. I was buying so much crap on impulse that I wore once or maybe twice. I hated the twice a year goodwill junk runs. More than just the closet transformation, we came up with just a new way of handling my wardrobe and opting for quality over impulse purchases of junk.

We completely reimagined the kitchen. Many of the recommendations were simple. That being said, I could not leave well enough alone. We ended up making some big changes to accommodate some of the ideas my Tribalist consultant shared with me. I could have kept it straightforward, but I really wanted to invest in making my home healthier. We figure out how to keep the countertops from being cluttered while making it very easy to access all of the key appliances I needed using lifts and other techniques was not aware of.

OK, my biggest take away from this experience is that there is an entire world of products that are just better. I didn't know about the wonderful office carpeting, desk options, natural chair options, etc. I had no idea how bad disposable pens were until I upgraded. Highly recommend.

Got rid of all my junk and did a pretty big natural fiber upgrade.

My bathroom was a disaster. I hated how the counter looked with everything cluttered, but I didn't know any other way to use the space. The Tribalist helped immensely.

Most of my health-focused friends are all about supplementation when the subtraction of toxins needs to be an equal part of the equation.

Learned a few new things like most reverse osmosis filters are plastic but there are good clay filters out there.

I have no idea why they don't give this to you at the OB/GYN???!!!!

This consultation got me the basics. Now, I'm engaging Tribalist on bigger transformations.

I've been reading how toxins are in our water at alarming levels. I bought this consultation from the Tribalist as a bit of an insurance package. i love that they also cover the unknowns. They don't claim anything is a complete fix and they aren't alarmists.
