EMBRACE

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is an area in the middle of the Pacific Ocean about the size of the state of Texas where plastic swirls in a giant pile of trash. The plastics don't biodegrade, and instead, turn into a soupy layer of water filled with microplastics. Much of this ends up settling on the ocean floor. But don't worry, more trash is on the way to keep this giant trash heap thriving. Our use of single-use plastics, lack of recycling, and disposal methods contribute to this sad outcome.
